We still had quite a way to drive today in order to reach
Atlanta. I had already planned a stop on the way to keep us entertained. The
State of Georgia is famous for its peaches. We were heading to a large Peach
orchard to hopefully get some for ourselves.
However let me amuse you with a photo of Heng enjoying his
second day of USA driving. Also we are always entertained by constant
billboards on the highway.

| Stressed much? |
 |
| Nutty nut nuts. |
 |
| You know you are in the Southern states when every second billboard is a religious message. |
Finally we arrived at the Orchard and were interested to
tour the packing plant and see the millions of peaches being sorted. Of course
we also had a Southern Food buffet lunch as well. We actually didn't end up buying any peaches as the only variety that was currently available was a bit hard and not sweet enough for me. We did get some juicy blueberries instead though.

| We arrived! |
 |
| Look at all the peaches!!! |
 |
| Southern style buffet...mmmm chicken. |
 |
| If you have any room there is peach cobbler. |
Then because I was getting bored of the main highways I set
our GPS to shortest route, which the GPS happily obliged and sent us on a long
(in time not distance) meandering drive through the countryside.

Without hitting much traffic at all we arrived in
Atlanta around 6pm. Checked in to our very unique B&B (more on that later)
and sought out some delicious Asian food.

ReplyDeleteSounds like a lot of driving on highways. Good ploy to see something different on the minor roads. Thinking of you both, Dad
